Through choreography and physical movement, I look for ways of constantly striving towards my better self and inspiring others to do the same. My work is centered around thoughts on genuine self expression and a fair coexistence with others. I create through physical research in conversation with my lineages of capoeira, contemporary dance, and contact improvisation. Every process is a collaborative journey for me and the creative team. By working together with the dancers, composers, dramaturges, and anyone else involved we generate a collective viewpoint that acknowledges a variety of perspectives. Taking on the roles of catalyst and editor, through athleticism, risk-taking, and raw physicality I compose structures that promote personal expression.
